850 (and counting!)

Yesterday we saw Dr. Kenny and Nathan is now at number 850 on a scale of 1000 in overall health and wellness.  From 4 to 850 in 2.5 weeks!  I have been amazed and blown away by the changes I have seen in Nathan.

For now the changes have been mostly in the health and happiness realm.  He is not sick anymore, for the first time in 4 months!  He has been happy and full of energy, playful, content.  He is more interested in toys and books – not just TV.    His color is back and he just feels so much happier!

I am just so thrilled.

Now let me share one of the most amazing things.  Dr. Kenny uses muscle testing to determine what Nathan needs to improve.  If you have never tried muscle testing, I will not even try to explain it.  You have to experience it to believe it.  I was a non-believer until recently.  The whole premise of muscle testing is that the body has an innate wisdom and can guide us towards health.  But the trick is to listen to what the body needs to repair itself.  Holistic health practitioners find this out by using muscle testing.

I found this video, it’s a very basic form of muscle testing (Dr. Kenny takes it SO much further) but it will give you an idea:

Here’s another video that explains a bit more technically:

So while we were at Dr. Kenny’s, it ocurred to me – what if I use this method to “communicate” with Nathan?

Since he is non-verbal and cannot tell me what he wants/needs, what if I learn basic muscle testing and learn to do it on him so I can always have an idea of how he feels and how to help him?

I am super excited about the concept.  I asked Dr Kenny about it and she told me of something called BodyTalk where they teach people how to use muscle testing.  How cool would that be?

In the meantime, the most exciting news – Nathan got a haircut!  He looks like a big boy now!

PS more tommorrow – I have so much to say, but I’m going to try to chit chat a little bit every day, instead of very long posts.
